Up for sale, a 1982 Fender JV Precision Bass ‘62 vintage reissue model PB62-75 in 100% original condition and in perfect working order, finished in custom color Candy Apple Red. A first-year Fender Japan model made at Fujigen, this Precision Bass was part of the JV (Japanese Vintage) series which paralleled early Fender vintage reissue production at Fender's Fullerton, CA factory. Features include a black bobbin USA-made (Fullerton) split coil pickup, and vintage-correct reverse gear tuning machines and threaded bridge saddles.
Tonewoods include an alder body, maple neck, and slab rosewood fretboard, and this JV Precision Bass weighs 9lbs 9oz, offering a balanced, resonant acoustic platform with smooth sustain. The USA-made split-coil pickup is the same seen in Fullerton reissues of the era, delivering pillowy thump, rich growl and round treble punch. This Precision Bass has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, easy-playing action, and accurate intonation.
