Up for sale, a 1982 Fender "JV" Jazz Bass ‘62 vintage reissue model JB62-75 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case. Produced in the first year of Fender Japan production, this "Japanese Vintage" (JV) series bass is a rare example and a higher-tiered model, boasting a rare ash body. Extremely accurate to vintage spec with the majority of examples sold only to the Japanese domestic market, features include black bobbin pickups with cloth-covered leads, long-stem clover button tuners, and spiral (threaded) bridge saddles.

The original pair of black bobbin single coil pickups are wound to recreate the best qualities of a genuine Pre-CBS Jazz Bass, with plenty of midrange growl and burp, top end detail, and fundamental power. This JB62-75 weighs 9lbs 11oz, professionally set up here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, easy-playing action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss three-tone Sunburst finish highlights the dynamic grain of the rare ash body (alder being the norm), with some finish checking at the body seam behind the bridge, a few minor dings on the back and some faint finish scratches in the clear coat on the body as a whole. The ambered gloss on the neck profile is smooth and clean.

A black tolex hardshell case is included.
