1982 Boss OD-1 Overdrive Vintage Guitar Effects Pedal Black Label Japan JRC4558

Up for sale, a 1982 Boss OD-1 Overdrive distortion effects pedal in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Historically significant for being Boss' first crack at creating an Overdrive pedal, the OD-1 utilizes the same JRC4558 chip as the original TS-808 Tube Screamer, but produces a thicker overall tone with more of an edge, due to the asymmetrical clipping which Boss had patented early in the company's history.This is a clean example, showing light specks of chipping around the enclosure, with preserved graphics and original knobs. The “Made in Japan” black foil label is minty on the back, and the serial number sticker is intact inside the battery compartment.
