Up for sale, a 1982/83 Fender Stratocaster Partscaster ‘62 vintage reissue model ST62-65 in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and serialized hangtags. This Stratocaster features a fully loaded first year JV body with an extremely low 00-prefix serial number, 1980 dated Fullerton factory (USA) gray bobbin pickups, and pots dating to November, 1981. This body is paired with a JV neck from the same model (and model tier), dating to Spring of 1983.

Extremely accurate to vintage spec and sold only within Japan, this Strat has a resonant alder body paired with a maple neck and slab rosewood fretboard, yielding a balanced, clear natural acoustic quality that translates well through the trio of USA-made Fullerton era single coils. These pickups feature gray bobbin flatwork and unbeveled, flat-pole magnets. Extremely rare for any vintage reissue Fender and generally only seen on the first few hundred Fullerton-made American Vintage models, these pickups have no magnet stagger.

The bridge pickup is sparkling and clear, while the neck pickup has ideal fullness and a chiming bell-like top end. The original three-way switch can also access the thinned-out squawk and snap of the "in-between" settings. This JV Stratocaster ST62-65 weighs 7lbs 11oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
