Up for sale, a 1981 Greco EG500C Super Power Custom in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Crafted at the famed Fujigen factory in Japan during Greco's very brief "Super Real" era of production in the early '80s, this lawsuit era LP delivers the goods, with great attention to vintage Gibson spec. While it’s worth noting that no legal action was taken against Greco specifically for these guitars, Gibson would go on to commission the same factory to produce their Japan-exclusive "Orville" line of instruments.

A direct response to the early '70s Les Paul Custom, this model features a carved maple top, a mahogany body, and a one-piece mahogany neck capped with a bound rosewood fretboard. At 10lbs 13oz, this Greco dishes out plenty of sonic authority and natural sustain. It's a lively and punchy-sounding instrument, and the craftsmanship is evident in the great playability and classic range of Les Paul tones provided by the PAF-style Maxon-made pickups. The pickups meter at 7.6k ohms, delivering bright, sparkling tones with tight low end and just enough midrange for a rich, fat breakup that never muddies. The bridge pickup has a more aggressive bite, while the neck has a bell-like fullness. This Greco has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with low action, accurate intonation, and 10-46 strings.

Cosmetic wear on the gloss Cherry Sunburst finish includes a number of minor dings and light scratches on the body as a whole, particularly concentrated on the lower bout. There is also a small finish chip on the heel, and the upper bout strap button has been relocated closer to the neck, with the original mounting hole cleanly doweled. The gloss finish on the neck exhibits a couple small marks on the profile length that don't distract the palm while fretting.

A gigbag is included.
