Up for sale, a 1981 Epiphone Genesis Standard in 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Designed by Gibson’s Director of Marketing at the time, Jim Walker, the Genesis is a unique and short-lived model produced only from 1979-1981. Weighing 10lbs 3oz, the Genesis features a solid mahogany double cutaway body loaded with a pair of Maxon-made humbuckers with coil tapping functionality. A worthy competitor to Yamaha’s SG line of “Les Paul killers,” the pickups produce a wide range of tones from beefy humbucker growl to polite, snappy single coil clarity. This Genesis benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, accurate intonation, and easy-playing action.
