Up for sale, a 1981 Boss DM-2 Delay in excellent condition and in perfect working order. This particular DM-2 is a genuine vintage Japanese-made Boss pedal, with a stickered serial number in the battery compartment that shows a September, 1981 production date. This pioneering, all analog delay offers a lush, warm tone thanks to the famous MN3005 "Bucket Brigade" delay chip. This chip produces a thick, rich quality, and the delay time is variable between 20ms and 300ms, with a control layout that is intuitive and easy to use.This pedal is also notable for being the first of three iterations of the DM-2, as the socketed Panasonic MN3005 delay chip was swapped with the MN3205 in later iterations. Cosmetic wear is limited to light chips across the enclosure. The original black "Made in Japan" foil label is in excellent shape. The silkscreen graphics are bold, and all three original knobs are intact.For classic, warm analog delay in a compact pedal package, the Boss DM-2 is one of the best sounding and easiest to use delays ever conceived.
