Up for sale, a 1981 Boss CE-2 Chorus effects pedal in perfect working order. Produced in the months after the initial silver screw iteration, this CE-2 still features the "long rash" graphics. The CE-2 was the first compact chorus pedal available from Boss, with a circuit based around the rare MN3007 BBD chip. The controls are straightforward and responsive, with a Rate knob and Depth knob to dial in the classic, lush all-analog effect.
The enclosure shows plenty of wear, and the original black silkscreen graphics are largely intact. The original knob pair is present, and the black “Made in Japan” foil label is present on the back. The serial number sticker is inside the battery compartment, dating the pedal to December, 1981.
