Up for sale, a 1981 Aria Pro II RS-X80 in excellent condition and in perfect working order, 100% original save for one new mini-toggle. Crafted at the Matsumoku factory in Japan, this premium Aria Pro II model features five-ply maple/walnut neck-through construction with Canadian ash body wings, DiMarzio Dual Sound humbuckers, and active Xtronics-1 controls.
The neck-through construction results in plenty of natural sustain and midrange warmth, and this RS-X80 weighs 7lbs 14oz. The DiMarzio Dual Sound humbuckers are essentially an expansion on the Super Distortion platform, delivering the rich harmonic content and midrange bump of that iconic pickup, wired to interact well with the versatile active electronics. The “Xtronics-1” controls offer an array of tonal sculpting options, including independent Dual Sound mini-toggles for each pickup (coil taps), Phase Reverse, and a three-way rotary Boost Selector knob with two Volume knobs (Boost and Over Booster). This RS-X80 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

-Scale Length: 24 3/4”
-Nut: 1 11/16”, brass
-Tuners: Aria Pro II-stamped, nickel-plated keystone buttons

The gloss Padauk Red finish exhibits faint buckle rash central to the back, some pick scuffing on top, and some small dings on the body as a whole, largely on the back and lower bout perimeter. The neck profile retains its smooth gloss, with a few tiny marks along the profile length that are virtually undetectable to the palm.
A faux leather gigbag is included.
