+ shipping

Up for sale, a 1980s Tokai Goldstar Sound model TST-50 in excellent condition and in perfect working order. This early Tokai spin on the Stratocaster platform is a rare left-handed example featuring a sen ash body, maple neck, and rosewood fretboard, loaded with the original trio of gray bobbin “U”-stamped single coils. Acoustically, the guitar has a clear, authoritative cut, and the gray bobbin pickups feature staggered pole alnico magnet construction, yielding plenty of sparkle. This TST-50 weighs 8lbs 2oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

Neck Specs:

-Wood: Maple
-Shape: Medium C, measuring .830” 1st fret, .920” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Rosewood, 7 1/4” vintage-spec radius
-Frets: Medium, no wear
-Scale Length: 25 1/2”
