Up for sale, a 1980s Roland TR-707 Rhythm Composer drum machine in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original user manual, operation guide, and power supply. This vintage Roland offering has gained classic status and appeared on recordings from artists like INXS and Aphex Twin. It has several similarities, both aesthetically and functionally, to the upper-tiered TR-909, including almost identical Hi-Hat, Cymbals, and Clap sounds. There are individual 1/4” outputs for each sound, with stereo master outputs, and MIDI In and Out capabilities.
The TR-707 features 10-voice polyphony, and provides four levels of Shuffle that operate globally, as well as Flam that can be applied to any step. It offers 64 programmable patterns, which can be edited via step-write or tap-write, and can be sequenced together into any of the four different Pattern Group tracks. Patterns and tracks can be stored on the device as long as two AA batteries are present, or saved onto an optional M-64C memory cartridge with twice the capacity.
Cosmetically, this TR-707 presents extremely well with clean graphics, and all buttons and sliders are intact, with only a few minor scuffs on the unit as a whole. The original user manual and operation guides are included, as well as the Roland-branded 12V power supply.
