Up for sale, a 1980's Roland RE-501 Chorus Echo in collector-grade condition and in perfect working order. The big brother of the RE-201 Space Echo and the last tape echo introduced in Roland's original RE lineup, the RE-501 boasts numerous features not found on its predecessors including a pair of unbalanced XLR in/outs, onboard Chorus, and noise reduction technology, ensuring the best possible signal to noise ratio. Freshly serviced by our techs here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, this RE-501 works flawlessly and runs reliably.

One of the most popular and enduring tape echos of all time, the RE-501 has been used on countless stages and in studios worldwide, with the pair of XLR in/outs making it perfectly suited for the latter. All tape heads were cleaned and everything runs exactly as it should with a low noise floor and lush, detailed repeats. All of the hardware is intact, and this iteration features a thumbscrew on either side of the enclosure to secure the lid (instead of the latches seen on other versions). The faceplate is remarkably well-kept with silkscreen graphics that are practically perfect, complete with the original knob set. There is only very light wear on the black tolex on the lid and enclosure edges.
