Up for sale, a 1980s Morris WJ-105E acoustic-electric guitar in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Inspired by the Gibson J-180, tonewoods include a spruce top, maple back and sides, and a mahogany neck that’s capped by a bound rosewood fretboard and adorned with the J-180’s distinctive star inlays. An exceedingly rare, non-catalog example, this particular WJ-105E takes the astral theming a step further, with a unique “rocketship-shaped” bridge, a crescent moon soundhole, and stars arranged in the constellations of the Big Dipper and Orion on the lower bout.
Weighing 5lbs 5oz, the WJ-105E offers a slightly scaled down jumbo profile, featuring a 16 1/4” lower bout, 4 5/8” of depth, and a 24 3/4” scale length. This guitar delivers a bold, broad sound with the inherent note attack and clarity of maple as a tonewood. The body dimensions ensure a rich sound with good projection, and the trebles are notably sweet while the wound strings have a nice bloom and roundness. The electronics are powered by a Morris PR-1264B active preamp/EQ system. This WJ-105E benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with bronze 12-53 strings and comfortable action all the way up the fretboard.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Mahogany
-Shape: Medium C, measuring .845” 1st fret, .920” 9th fret
-Fretboard: Rosewood, pearloid star inlays
-Frets: Medium jumbo, no wear
-Scale Length: 24 3/4”
-Nut: 1 11/16”, bone
-Tuners: Kluson-style, keystone buttons
Body Specs:

-Bridge: “Rocketship,” compensated saddle
-Electronics: Morris PR-1264B active preamp/EQ

The deep blue finish has shifted to a greenish tint on top, with subtle checking at the bass side of the neck heel, some scattered minor marks on top, and a few additional scuffs on the body as a whole. The satin finish on the neck profile is smooth and clean.
A premium Mono padded gigbag is included.
