1980s Moog Taurus II Vintage Analog Bass Pedal Synthesizer

$2,999.99

Up for sale, a 1980s Moog Taurus II in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original pedal controller and stand. This unique Moog synthesizer was only produced from 1981-83, prized for its distinctive bass timbres and used by bands including Genesis and Yes.

The synth module circuitry is a duplicate of Moog’s Rogue, featuring a straight-forward, no-frills design and control configuration. The monophonic, single-trigger synth offers 2 VCOs, with square and sawtooth waveforms, a 24dB/oct lowpass filter with cutoff (key tracking), Attack + Decay or Sustain VCA functionality, Portamento, Pitch and Mod wheels. Of course, the main draw of the Taurus II is the 18 note CV pedal controller, which generates CVs for keys pressed along with V-trig/S-trig signals and features range and scale pots for transposing the CV output, enabling the unit to control various vintage analog synths that have CV/trigger inputs or even modular synthesizers.

This is a clean unit, with cosmetic wear largely limited to some minor scuffs and tiny marks along the edges and wooden endcaps. All of the original knobs and sliders are present, and the graphics are pristine.
