Up for sale, a 1980's Kramer LK-IBF vintage electric guitar in 100% original condition and in perfect working order. A rare Japanese-made Kramer, this LK-IBF is an honestly played shred-centric design featuring a poplar body and one-piece maple neck capped with a 22 fret slab rosewood fretboard. This balanced tonewood platform is loaded with an LH150 zebra bobbin humbucker in the bridge position and a single coil at the neck. The neck position is spanky and clear, pairing well with, and providing a nice contrast to the hot and focused bridge pickup. It's a simple yet effective tonal palette geared towards high gain crunch and singing sustain. Weighing 7lbs 11oz, this Kramer has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, accurate intonation, and fast action. The maple neck has a slender, rounded C shaped profile with generous shoulder and lightly rolled edges, measuring .775” deep at the 1st fret and .855” at the 12th. The particularly thick slab rosewood fretboard features dot inlay and stock medium jumbo fretwire which retains its full factory height, showing just a touch of wear beneath the plain strings on frets 1-7. The guitar plays easily up the 25 1/2" scale, the neck is straight, and the truss rod is responsive and optimally adjusted. The locking nut measures 1 5/8" in width, and the headstock features a gold block Kramer logo and stock black Gotoh tuning machines. On the body, the simple electronics work as they should, with a three-way pickup selector switch and a single Master Volume governing the pickup pair. The chrome-plated hardware is bright and clean including the two-point TRS-101 tremolo, a licensed by Floyd Rose design which actuates easily for quick flutters and deep dives, complete with the original arm. Cosmetic wear on the gloss Black finish includes various scuffs and dings on the rounded body edges, with some requisite pick scuffing across the strum path, one minor ding on top behind the bridge and some additional finish scratches and marks consistent with honest use. The neck sports a smooth satin finish, with some shallow marks along the profile length that are not distracting to the palm while fretting.A gigbag is included.
