Up for sale, a 1980s Fernandes The Revival model TS-55 in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Crafted by the Electric Sound Research Group under the Fernandes banner, The Revival series instruments were produced from 1981-89, capturing the finer points of golden age USA-made instruments. This TS-55 takes its inspiration from a circa 1968 Fender Telecaster Thinline, with a semi-hollow ash body and a pair of single coil pickups.
The semi-hollow construction gives this guitar great natural resonance, paired with the midrange heft inherent to ash as a tonewood. The pair of VT-1 single coil pickups deliver snap and sparkle; the bridge pickup has a cutting twang (enhanced by the brass bridge saddles), while the neck pickup has a percussive, bell-like chime and woody chop. This TS-55 weighs 7lbs 7oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
