Up for sale, a 1980's Fernandes The Revival RST-50B ‘76 Model vintage electric guitar in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Made exclusively for the Japanese domestic market, the Revival series was available between 1981-1989. Highlighting all the essential ‘70s Strat details, this ‘76 Model features a solid alder body, maple neck, rosewood fretboard, oversized headstock with block lettering, bullet truss rod nut, and stock trio of gray bobbin alnico magnet single coil pickups. Via the five-way blade selector switch, the full Strat sonic spectrum is at hand, offering a bold and round neck position, quacky "in-between" settings, and a focused, midrange-forward bridge pickup. Weighing 8lbs 8oz, this Fernandes has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, accurate intonation, and comfortable action. The maple neck has a slender rounded C shape with modest shoulder and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .810” deep at the 1st fret and .950” at the 12th. The rosewood fretboard features large pearloid dot inlay, a vintage-spec 7 1/4“ radius, and pristine stock slender fretwire. The guitar plays cleanly in every register up the straight neck with an ideally adjusted and responsive truss rod. The scale length is 25 1/2“, and the stock bone nut measures 1 5/8“ in width. The oversized headstock features block lettering, a bullet truss rod nut, and tuners that echo Fender's F-style gears, turning smoothly with gleaming chrome plating. On the body, the electronics work as they should, with a five-way blade pickup selector and traditional Strat Volume/Tone/Tone control array, wired to the original gray bobbin single coil pickups. The harness features the original full-size Japanese pots with a premium orange drop tone cap. The chrome hardware shows just a hint of surface patina, and the black plastic parts are in great shape. Cosmetic wear is limited to a couple small marks on the edge of the bass-side waist, with faint finish scratches in the clear coat of the gloss Black finish on the body as a whole. The neck profile sports a pristine smooth gloss finish. A gigbag is included.
