Up for sale, a 1980's Fernandes The Function model BSV-90 Flying V in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original fitted faux leather gigbag. A true product of its era, this Flying V was expertly crafted in Japan, featuring an alder body, one-piece maple neck, rosewood fretboard with lightning bolt inlay, and stock pair of powerful "Dog Fighter" humbuckers. Plugged in, the guitar interacts well with high gain, providing plenty of chunk and power for cutting, thick riffs. This Fernandes weighs 7lbs 5oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The one-piece maple neck has a chunky C-shaped profile carve with lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .870” deep at the 1st fret and .930” at the 12th. The rosewood fretboard features lightning bolt inlay and pristine stock jumbo fretwire. The guitar plays cleanly in every register up the straight neck with a 14” fretboard radius and optimally adjusted truss rod. The scale length is 24 3/4", and the locking nut measures 1 5/8“ in width. The matching black headstock features chrome tuners that turn smoothly.

On the body, the stock electronics work as they should, with a three-way toggle pickup selector and Master Volume and Tone controls for the pair of Dog Fighter humbuckers. The chrome hardware has plenty of shine with just a hint of patina, and the genuine Floyd Rose tremolo retains the original arm, functioning smoothly for everything from sharp trills to deep dive bombs. Cosmetic wear on the gloss Black finish is limited to a few faint scattered nicks and finish scratches in the clear coat of the gloss. The matching gloss finish on the neck profile is pristine.

The original fitted faux leather gigbag is included.
