Out Of Stock
Up for sale, a 1980's Charvel by Jackson Model 1 electric guitar in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Made at the Chu Shin factory in Japan as part of a licensing agreement between IMC and Charvel/Jackson, the Model 1 is a pure, no-frills Super Strat with a single Jackson 90C humbucker, single Volume knob, and Gotoh-made "Vintage Tremolo." Featuring a quartersawn maple neck and basswood body, the sound is immediate, clear, and the perfect tonewood platform for the high gain crunch of the 90C ceramic magnet humbucker. Weighing 7lbs 15oz, this Charvel has been professionally setup here at Mike and Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, spot-on intonation, and fast action.

The quartersawn rock maple neck has a very slender and fast-feeling D-shaped profile with good shoulder and lightly rolled edges, measuring .760” deep at the 1st fret and .900” at the 12th. The thick slab maple fretboard has a compound 12-16" radius and features dot inlays and jumbo fretwire. The frets retain their full height and well-rounded crowns with virtually no wear, playing cleanly in every register up the straight neck with an ideally adjusted truss rod. The scale length is 25 1/2“, and the nut measures just a hair over 1 5/8” in width. On the black headstock, the original black Jackson-branded Gotoh-made tuners are present and turn smoothly.

The electronics work as they should, with a single Volume knob coupled to the Jackson humbucker. The sleek Black gloss finish shows light marks mostly relegated to the lower bout body edge, with a few light finish scratches on the body as a whole. The gloss finish on the neck profile is quite clean with just a few minuscule marks that are not distracting to the palm.

A gigbag is included.
