Up for sale, a 1980's Burny "Rock'n Roll Version" LP Special single cutaway model in 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Crafted in Japan under the umbrella of the Fernandes company, Burny has long been celebrated for producing some of the finest LP-style instruments ever made, with close adherence to vintage specs. With a gloss TV Yellow-finished mahogany body and neck, a pair of P-90 pickups, and a wraparound tailpiece, Burny has assembled all the essential ingredients for pure LP Special tones. The sound is exactly what you'd expect, with loads of sustain, and a dynamic, midrange-rich sound that barks with the best. Weighing 8lbs 2oz, this Special has been professionally setup here at Mike and Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings and low action.

The mahogany neck has a round C-shaped profile carve, medium depth at the nut yet quickly gaining notable roundness and chunk as you travel up the fingerboard, measuring .855” deep at the 1st fret and .960” at the 12th. The slab rosewood fretboard sports dot inlay and stock medium jumbo fretwire which has plenty of meat, showing only light wear beneath the plain strings on frets 1-6. The guitar plays easily in all registers with a responsive truss rod and a straight neck. The scale length is 24 3/4“, and the nut measures a full 1 11/16“ in width. On the headstock, the silkscreened gold Burny logo is intact, along with the "Rock'n Roll Version" script oriented vertically. The original nickel Kluson-style tuners with metal buttons turn smoothly and hold pitch well.

The electronics include a traditional Gibson-style control array, with dedicated Volume and Tone knobs for each P-90 pickup and full-size pots. Original hardware includes the nickel wraparound bridge which shows light surface patina, and plastics comprise the stock pickguard which retains its factory sticker, as well as a quartet of black bonnet knobs. The TV Yellow gloss finish shows one faint sticker shadow on top behind the bridge, light buckle rash at the bass-side waist on the back, and a few additional small dings mostly relegated to the back and body perimeter. The neck profile retains a smooth gloss finish.

The original Fernandes-branded gigbag is included.
