Up for sale, a 1980 Aria Pro II SH-800 in exceptional condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. This rare, premium Aria Pro II model was crafted at the Matsumoku factory in Japan, designed by their top luthier Nobuaki Hayashi (H. Noble). This particular example is loaded with the original pair of MH-1 humbuckers and has been augmented with a Phase switch.
This Aria features five-ply maple/walnut neck through construction paired with carved/hollow ash body wings, and a slab ebony fingerboard, yielding a rich, textured natural response with excellent sustain and articulation. The original pair of MH-1 humbuckers are big and bold, metering at 9.8k ohms; the bridge is biting and focused, and the neck is beefy while retaining detail. Plus, the addition of a two-way phase switch enables slinky, out-of-phase cut when both humbuckers are engaged. This SH-800 weighs 8lbs 14oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, comfortable action, and spot-on intonation.
