Up for sale, a 1981 Aria Pro II Rev-Sound model RS-750D in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Produced at the Matsumoku factory in Japan, this Rev-Sound Aria Pro II features neck-through construction with a seven-ply maple/walnut neck, ash body wings, and a pair of DiMarzio Super Distortion humbuckers (hence the “D” in the model designation) with a wide array of tonal sculpting options.

The neck-through construction offers excellent natural sustain and resonance, and the midrange complexity and note attack of the ash body is faithfully captured by the stock DiMarzio Super Distortion humbuckers. DiMarzio’s ever-popular hot-rodded humbucker revolutionized the guitar world when it was introduced in the ‘70s, designed to push a tube amp into creamy overdrive with boosted mids, wide lows, and fat highs. Simply put, there’s a reason this pickup has been favored by artists as varied as Ace Frehley, Phil Collen, and Kurt Cobain. This RS-750D achieves a vast array of tonalities via the trio of mini-toggles: there are independent Series/Parallel switches for each humbucker and a Phase switch (when both humbuckers are engaged), enabling both single coil-esque shimmer and slinky out-of-phase sounds, respectively. This RS-750D weighs 7lbs 4oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
