Up for sale, a 1979 Yamaha Broad Bass BB2000 fretless conversion in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. Crafted in Japan, the Broad Bass BB2000 model features five-ply maple/mahogany neck-through construction with alder body wings and a slab ebony fretboard, loaded with a versatile PJ pickup complement.

The tonewoods yield a particularly resonant and deep response, with the glassy, immediate articulation of the ebony board faithfully captured by the pickups. The PJ pickup configuration features the best of two of the most enduringly popular bass pickup designs, with a broad thump via the split coil P pickup and great articulation and upper-midrange presence and burp from the powerful bridge position J-style blade single coil. Weighing 10lbs 4oz, this BB2000 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-105 D’Addario Chromes flatwound strings and comfortable action.
