Up for sale, a 1979 ProCo Rat V1 "Fringe Logo" Big Box distortion pedal in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Made in Kalamazoo, MI, and introduced in 1978, this early Rat has the essential National Semiconductor LM308N chip at its heart, delivering the buzzsaw roar, sizzle, and cut that this tone rodent is known for. The original pots with their distinctive "19" EIN prefix date to the 38th week of 1978. Further dates on the electrolytic capacitors are from the 51st week of '77.
The silkscreened graphics are clean, with the "Tone" text and "Fringe Logo" only seen on the earliest examples of this stompbox. The original trio of knobs are present, and the original serial number is intact on the bottom of the enclosure.
