Up for sale, a 1979 Greco Speed Way GOB900 bass in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Produced concurrently with the Ibanez Musician basses at the venerable Fujigen factory in Japan, this Speed Way bass model features maple neck through construction, a rosewood fretboard, and ash body wings.
At 9lbs 13oz, this Greco has great natural sustain and sonic authority, with a midrange-forward punch and warmth faithfully captured by the PU-3B humbuckers. This active version of the GOB900 has a Preamp Boost mini toggle and dedicated Blend knob, with a second Series/Parallel mini toggle, yielding a broad range of immediate growl and low end muscle. This Greco Speed Way GOB900 has been professionally setup here at Mike and Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, easy-playing action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Natural finish highlights the construction techniques of the body and the grain of the ash, and cosmetic wear includes light pick scuffing on top and a number of minor dings on the body as a whole, most prominent on the back and edges. The neck profile retains its smooth gloss, highlighting subtle birdseye figuring in the maple, with a scant few tiny marks along the profile length that have no impact on playability.
A gigbag is included.
