Up for sale, a 1979 Electro Harmonix Micro Synthesizer in excellent condition and in perfect working order. The very first, and excruciatingly short-lived version of the Micro Synth, this V1 variant was changed in its cosmetics and functionality in 1980, making this iteration particularly rare.
The V1 Micro Synth can be identified by the lack of an on/off switch on the back of the pedal, the footswitch to engage the unit located in the lower left corner of the enclosure, there is no LED, and the slider later labeled "Square Wave" is called "Distortion."
Everyone from Queens of the Stone Age to the Strokes to Muse to Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon have utilized the rich filters and thick square wave fuzz of the Micro Synth, with myriad sliders to shape the input signal (including octave and sub-octave), and a fairly robust filter section.
This example is remarkably well-kept, considering its vintage, with all original small slider tips intact and only minor wear on the enclosure. The pedal has been given a full checkup by our techs here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar and everything functions as it should.
