1979 Boss SG-1 Slow Gear Silver Screw Vintage Effects Pedal Black Label Japan

$499.99

Up for sale, a 1979 Boss SG-1 Slow Gear in collector-grade condition and in perfect working order. This first-year "silver screw" example of the SG-1 has all of the pedal's earliest features, with a small inked serial number in the battery compartment above the transparent stomp switch.

Easily one of the rarest and most sought after Boss stompboxes ever produced, this pedal creates volume swells and rolls off your note attack just as if you were turning up your guitar knob after striking a note. With straightforward Sensitivity and Attack controls, it's easy to dial in the perfect volume swell rate and intensity to match one's playing style and tonal needs.

The circuit is 100% original, and the silver ink stamped serial number is just north of the clear stomp switch, dating the pedal to July of 1979. There are just a few tiny specks on the enclosure edges, the graphics are clean, and the original pair of knobs are present. The black foil "Made in Japan" label is also in great shape.
