Up for sale, a 1978 Ibanez Musician MC300 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. The MC-300 features five-ply neck-through construction, Super 88 Tri-Sound humbuckers, and a Gibraltar bridge with brass sustain block insert. The neck is five-ply rock maple/black walnut, and the body wings feature mahogany cores sandwiched between ash. At 9lbs 2oz, this MC300 has ample natural sustain and midrange heft, qualities faithfully captured by the pair of Super 88 Tri-Sound humbuckers.
The Super 88 Tri-Sound pickups are full and rich-sounding, with warm lower-mids and a smooth, singing treble response that ensures dynamic articulation and great clarity. Each pickup has a dedicated three-way Tri-Sound mini-toggle switch, offering standard humbucking operation, phase reversal, and coil-tapped single coil snap. This MC300 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
