Up for sale, a 1978 Greco EG600 in excellent condition and in perfect working order. This expertly crafted Japanese guitar clearly takes its cues from its Gibson cousin (no relation), and while this Greco falls squarely under the umbrella of the famed "lawsuit" guitars in a general sense, no action was ever taken against Greco for these very faithful iterations.
Produced at the Fujigen factory just prior to Greco's Super Real line of instruments, this EG600 has a distinctive look designed to capitalize on Ace Frehley's now iconic triple pickup Cherry Sunburst Custom, with Greco going so far as to name check Frehley in their catalog description. The guitar features a mahogany body with a carved two-piece maple top and a trio of Maxon-made U-2000 humbuckers. Featuring double cream bobbins, these pickups deliver a great spin on the classic PAF tone, boasting ample harmonic content, great punch, and an overall full and rich tonal character, and there's plenty of bite and chime in the top end too. This EG600 weighs 9lbs 4oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with low action, accurate intonation and fresh 10-46 strings.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Maple
-Shape: Medium C, measuring .830” 1st fret, .935” 12th fret

-Frets: Medium jumbo, light wear beneath the plain strings on frets 1-10
-Scale Length: 24 3/4”
-Nut: 1 11/16”, bone
-Tuners: Gotoh
-Serialization: E78-prefix (May, 1978 production)
Body Specs:
-Wood: Maple, mahogany

The gloss Cherry Sunburst finish exhibits limited checking and a few small dings and finish chips along the body perimeter. There’s light buckle scuffing on the treble-side of the back and some additional minor dings and finish scratches consistent with use. The smooth gloss on the neck profile highlights subtle figuring in the maple, with just a couple shallow marks.
A gigbag is included.
