Up for sale, a 1978 Gibson Les Paul Custom in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case. This Norlin Era “Black Beauty” Les Paul Custom features a gloss Ebony nitro lacquer finish, gold hardware, and a pair of Pat. No. T Top humbuckers, 100% original save for a refret and a few new plastics (pickguard/knobs).
Tonewoods include a mahogany body, maple top, three-piece maple neck, and bound ebony fingerboard, weighing 10lbs 14oz, with tons of natural sustain and a rich, growling acoustic response that provides an ideal platform for the T Top humbuckers. These pickups offer a distinct, vital sound at each position on the three-way pickup selector switch, with plenty of note attack, bite and midrange aggression at the bridge, and neck position tones that are smooth and warm while retaining great articulation. This Les Paul Custom has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
