Up for sale, a 1978 Epiphone Wilshire in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Produced by the Matsumoku factory in Japan, this uncommon iteration of the Wilshire was only available for a few short years in the latter half of the 1970s. Retaining the original '60s-era Wilshire body shape, this guitar weighs a modest 7lbs 10oz, boasting a maple body and set neck construction, with the three-piece maple neck capped by a bound rosewood fingerboard.

Its set-neck construction affords the instrument additional resonance comparable to the bolt-on Wilshire models also offered by Epiphone in Japan. The humbuckers meter in the low 7k ohm range, and these pickups are known for their excellent top end clarity while delivering a touch of growl and a warm midrange character. This Wilshire benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, with 10-46 strings, slinky action, and accurate intonation.
