Out Of Stock
Up for sale, a 1977 Greco FB980 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. One of Greco's rarer upscale Firebird models crafted in limited quantities at the Fujigen factory, this guitar captures many of the finer points of Gibson's reverse-body Firebird V, including a pair of mini-humbuckers, banjo tuners, and a Maestro-style long frame vibrola.

The body and neck are crafted from mahogany, with a bound rosewood fretboard, and this guitar has a warm, growling acoustic profile with great natural sustain, weighing 7lbs 15oz. The mini humbucker pickups have a vintage-style wind (in stark contrast to Gibson's hotly wound modern Firebird pickups), metering at 7.4k ohms and delivering a broad tonal range with dense harmonics. The humbuckers have great treble cut and bite, with a thick lower midrange and taut, punchy lows. This FB980 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.

The gloss Sunburst finish exhibits a scant few lines of finish checking, and cosmetic wear includes limited buckle worming on the back, a handful of small dings on the top, and some minor chips along the body perimeter (largely concentrated at the body points). The neck profile retains its smooth gloss, with just a couple shallow marks along the profile length.

A gigbag is included.
