Up for sale, a 1977 Fender Vibrolux Reverb in 100% original excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original two-button footswitch. With good reason, the Vibrolux is one of the most desirable Fender models for its ideal size and power, well-suited to both stage and studio applications. The amp delivers sparkling cut and muscle, and a surprising amount of headroom, cascading into lightly compressed tube overdrive when pushing towards 10 on the Volume dial.

Offering 35 tube watts through the original Fender-branded (Utah-made) alnico magnet 10" speaker pair, the Vibrolux is the perfect platform for getting the most out of a variety of guitars and stompboxes. With this particular speaker pair, this Vibrolux offers more headroom and clarity than most, punching through with more perceived volume, while still overdriving smoothly further up the Volume dial. The tube-driven Reverb has a nice splash and decay, and the Tremolo has a smooth pulse and wide range of speeds.

The circuit is 100% original, retaining all of the original Schumacher-made transformers with date codes from the 4th, 15th, and 22nd weeks of 1977. All pots, switches, jacks, and tube sockets have been thoroughly cleaned, and all components have been tested to ensure viability and reliability. Even the original Mallory power supply caps still function as intended. The preamp retains a full complement of original blue molded caps, and the CTS pots have visible date codes spanning the late weeks of ‘76 and early ‘77. Tubes include a fresh pair of properly biased Tung-Sol 5881 (6L6GC) power tubes, with the original Fender 5U4GB rectifier and all of the original Sylvania and Fender-branded preamp tubes.

The Fender-branded and Utah-made alnico magnet 10" speakers are the original matched pair with black frames and blue Fender foil stickers. The date stamps on the magnets are from the 22nd week of '77. The tube chart is intact inside the cabinet as well.

The original smooth black tolex shows only some minor marks, paired with clean silver sparkle grillcloth with an orange stripe. The Silverface faceplate boasts pristine graphics and its original set of witch hat knobs, and the original handle caps, chassis straps, corners, and sphinx glides (feet) are present.

The original two-button footswitch is included.
