Out Of Stock
Up for sale, a 1977 Fender Jazz Bass in collector-grade condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtags. This bass is an excellent example of Fender’s premier bass model, sporting an uncommon rosewood fretboard, 100% original save for modern CTS pots in the wiring harness and a trio of knobs.

Tonewoods include an ash body and maple neck, and this Jazz Bass weighs 10lbs 14oz, yielding plenty of rich natural punch and sustain. Via the gray bobbin pickup pair, the bass offers great growl and top end articulation, and the ash body ensures ample midrange and present note attack. The neck pickup has a thicker, broader sound, and rolling the Tone knob back to taste yields a bold thumpy quality. This Jazz Bass has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, comfortable action, and spot-on intonation.

Cosmetic wear on the gloss Black finish is limited to scuffing along the pick path and just a few minor dings and faint scratches on the body as a whole, largely relegated to the back and perimeter. The neck profile retains its smooth ambered gloss, highlighting subtle curly figuring in the maple, with one ding on the bass-side shoulder at fret 7 that doesn't distract the palm while fretting.

The original black tolex hardshell case is included, along with the hangtags/manual. The case has a faint smokey odor.
