Up for sale, a 1976 Gibson Les Paul Custom in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. This Norlin-era “Black Beauty” Les Paul weighs 10lbs 5oz, featuring a carved maple cap, "sandwich" mahogany body, and a three-piece maple neck capped with a bound ebony fingerboard.
The tonewoods ensure plenty of natural punch and sustain, and the ebony fretboard yields glassy treble articulation. All three pickup positions are distinct and full-sounding, and the T-Top humbuckers deliver growl and taut low end in the bridge position, while the neck pickup has ample oomph and a thick, cutting quality. This Black Beauty has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings low action, and spot-on intonation.

Cosmetic wear on the gloss Ebony nitro lacquer finish includes buckle rash on the back, one prominent finish scratch on the back near the control cavity cover, and just a handful of minor nicks and scuffs on the body as a whole. The neck profile retains its smooth matching gloss save for palm wear through to the maple along the shoulders at frets 1-5 and a couple shallow marks, all buffed smooth and imperceptible to the palm.
The original black tolex hardshell case with purple plush interior is included. All but one of the latches is functional, and the original handle is intact.
