Up for sale, a 1976 Fender Telecaster Custom in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. Tonewoods include a Mocha-finished ash body and one-piece maple neck, weighing 9lbs 5oz.
This guitar blends the twang and sparkle of a classic Telecaster bridge pickup with the humbucker warmth of the Seth Lover-designed Fender "Wide Range" pickup in the neck position. A very clear and percussive sounding humbucker design with CuNiFe magnets and more shimmer and top end detail than most dual coil pickups, the Wide Range humbucker pairs very well with the bridge position single coil in terms of output, and the two pickups compliment each other very well when both are engaged. This Telecaster Custom benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Mocha body finish is 100% original, while the neck has been fully oversprayed, retaining the original logo and serial on the headstock face. There’s a sliver of forearm wear down to the sealer coat on the edge of the top, shallow buckle wear on the back, and some additional minor marks and scuffs. The gloss on the neck profile is smooth and clean, with wear through the gloss along the fretboard edges and some repaired tear-out adjacent to the tuner posts on the headstock face.
The original black tolex hardshell case is included; two of the three latches are functional.
