Up for sale, a 1976 Fender Princeton Reverb in 100% original, collector-grade condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original two-button footswitch. The Princeton Reverb is the perfect amplifier for small club gigs and studio sessions, and this Silverface era amp delivers both well-balanced, sparkling cleans and smooth, harmonic-rich overdrive when dimed out. The Reverb is lush and the Tremolo has a nice pulse with a wide range of speeds.
The circuit is 100% original, given a check-up by our techs to ensure optimal functionality. The transformers were manufactured for Fender by Schumacher, dating to the first weeks of '76. The preamp is loaded with blue molded caps, and the CTS pots have visible date codes from 1975-76. The stock Mallory multi-section can cap in the power supply still functions as it should, and the amp retains its two-prong power cable. Tubes include a matched pair of JJ 6V6s, the original Fender/RCA-branded 5U4 rectifier and matched JJ valves in the preamp.
The Oxford ceramic magnet speaker has a clean black frame, and the Fender foil sticker obscures Oxford's dated sticker on the ceramic magnet. The tube chart is intact inside the cabinet with clean paper and just one dog-eared corner.
The amp retains its original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with orange stripe, both of which are remarkably clean. The silver faceplate has clean graphics and original witch hat knobs, and stock hardware includes the handle, chassis straps and sphinx glides (feet).
The original two-button footswitch is included, along with a modern Fender-branded amp cover.
