Up for sale, a 1976 Fender Musicmaster in exceptional condition and in perfect working order.  This guitar boasts a Marty Bell Brilliant Sea Green sparkle gloss finish, Curtis Novak "argyle" DeArmond-style gold foil pickup, Mastery M1 bridge, and genuine vintage 1960s Bigsby B5 vibrato. Part of a continuing series of sparkle-finished instruments built on vintage Fender platforms here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, this Musicmaster features the original 1976 body and neck.

A tonally impressive and resonant instrument due in large part to the inclusion of the Mastery M1 bridge, this Musicmaster is lively and dynamic in its natural tonal response. The USA-made Curtis Novak DeArmond Gold Foil-style pickup has a notched diamed "argyle" cover, and the tone is woody, percussive, and clear with the inherent warmth of the pickup’s neck position placement and a rich bite that overdrives smoothly. The guitar weighs 7lbs 5oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with fresh 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The maple neck has a slender C-shaped profile carve with moderate shoulder and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .825" deep at the 1st fret, graduating to .870" at the 12th. The rosewood fretboard has a 7 1/4" radius, and the original slender frets have their full factory height, showing only faint wear beneath the plain strings on frets 1-5, and virtually no wear further up the fretboard. This Musicmaster boasts a full 24" scale, with a 1 5/8" nut width. The neck profile and headstock feature the original gloss finish, topped off with the original decal and 76-prefix serial. The original Fender "F" tuners are intact with gleaming chrome plating, manufactured by Schaller for Fender and offering excellent tuning stability.

The Gold Foil pickup is wired to a harness which features new CTS pots, a vintage-style ceramic disc tone capacitor, and Switchcraft 1/4" jack. The pickup routes are untouched (as the Novak pickup is top-mounted), and the original bridge has been replaced in favor of the Mastery M1 bridge which works in concert with the genuine vintage 1960s Bigsby B5 for a dynamic, fluid response. The undisputed king of sparkle finishes, Marty Bell, finished the body in a high gloss Brilliant Sea Green sparkle that has incredible depth and dimension. The finish is complemented by the original white pearloid pickguard, and other hardware includes the original control plate and Fender "F" four-bolt neck plate.

A marriage of vintage Fender tonewoods with premium electronics and hardware and a finish that's just plain fun, this Musicmaster was a passion project for us here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, where we specialize in Fender Offset guitars.

A padded gigbag is included.
