Up for sale, a 1976 Aria Pro II L-1000 in exceptional condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. This rare, premium Aria model was crafted at the Matsumoku factory in Japan, essentially a hybridization of two of Gibson's most celebrated archtops, with the 17" lower bout width of an L-5, and the top-tier inlay and elongated headstock of a Super 400.
Tonewoods include a solid spruce top, maple back and rims, a three-piece maple neck with walnut stringers, and an ebony fingerboard. The guitar has a natural woody character and percussive, dynamic midrange chop that translates faithfully through the humbuckers, delivering sparkling trebles, focused low end, and an articulate and clear response in every pickup position. The guitar weighs 8lbs 4oz. Strung with flatwound 12-53 strings, this L-1000 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with low action and accurate intonation.

-Wood: Three-piece maple
-Shape: Chunky C, full shoulders, measuring .865” 1st fret, 1.050” 9th fret

-Frets: Medium jumbo, virtually no wear
-Scale Length: 25 1/2"
-Nut: 1 11/16”, bone (replacement)
-Headstock: Super 400-style, multi-ply binding, split-diamond inlay, “Custom” truss rod cover
-Tuners: Grover Rotomatic, gold
Body Specs:
-Wood: Solid spruce top, maple back/rims

The gloss Sunburst finish highlights subtle figuring across the maple back, and cosmetic wear is limited to a handful of dings on the top and just a scant few faint marks and nicks on the rims and back. The smooth matching gloss on the neck profile is immaculate.
The original hardshell case is included.
