Up for sale, a 1975 Hiwatt Custom P.A. 200 DR203 head, freshly serviced and in perfect working order with a quartet of KT88 power tubes. A highly unique take on the Hiwatt DR platform, this six-channel head features dedicated Volume, Treble and Bass controls for each channel with global Presence and Master controls, offering tremendous headroom, even-ordered harmonics and a distinctive grind and punch that's pure vintage Hiwatt. Extremely powerful and efficient with pummeling low end, this Hiwatt is an ideal companion for bass or guitar, achieving saturated roar and robust cleans, as commanding and bass-rich as any vintage British tube amp with a dynamic, touch-sensitive responsiveness.

Originally designed to run on a pair of speaker cabinets, there are dedicated dual "A" and "B" outputs on the back of the chassis, while also being able to run a single cabinet if desired (with one cab, a dummy plug must be inserted into the second A/B jack).

The circuit is very original and recently given a clean bill of health via our techs here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, retaining the stock pair of Partridge transformers. The turret board preamp retains a bevy of original Mullard mustard caps, and all of the original pots are intact too. The power supply has been rebuilt with brand new capacitors, ensuring decades of future trouble-free use. There are also new smaller electrolytic caps in the preamp, and a few modern signal caps as well. The tubes include a quartet of properly biased Electro Harmonix KT88 power tubes, with a combination of vintage and modern valves in the preamp.

The original Hylight-era Hiwatt badge is intact. All hardware is original, and all stock plastics are accounted for, with a full complement of black chicken head knobs and a large Hiwatt badge. The original black tolex shows modest wear on the enclosure edges, framed by white piping.
