Up for sale, a 1975 Greco RW-700 Ronnie Wood signature in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. This rare Greco, only produced for one year, is a signature model for Rolling Stones/Faces legend Ronnie Wood, featuring a very unique tulip-shaped body loaded with a pair of Maxon-made U-1000 pickups.
The tonewood complement comprises a mahogany body, mahogany neck, and bound rosewood fretboard, yielding a warm, resonant acoustic profile with plenty of natural midrange heft faithfully captured by the stock pair of Maxon U-1000 humbuckers. These pickups meter at 7.7k ohms, with spongy lows, sweet treble growl, and a slightly scooped, tailored midrange. This Greco weighs 7lbs 5oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Mahogany
-Shape: Medium C, full shoulders, measuring .850” 1st fret, .925” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Bound rosewood, 12” radius
-Frets: Medium jumbo, virtually no wear, fret edge binding
-Scale Length: 24 3/4”
-Nut: 1 5/8”
-Tuners: Gotoh Star
Body Specs:
-Wood: Mahogany
-Pickups: Maxon U-1000 humbuckers (1974 date stamps)
-Harness: Untouched solder, full-size Japanese 500K pots
-Hardware: Adjusto-matic bridge, trapeze tailpiece, “Greco”-stamped pickup covers
-Plastics: Gold speed knobs, four-ply pickguard, black bridge pickup ring and switch surround
The gloss Brown Sunburst finish exhibits some minor nicks and finish scratches on the body as a whole, largely relegated to the lower bout perimeter, and faint scuffing on top along the pick path. The neck profile retains its smooth gloss, with a few shallow marks along the profile length that don't distract the palm while fretting.
The original hardshell case is included.
