Up for sale, a 1975 Greco EX-800C Explorer in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case. The EX-800C is particularly rare, and unlike the traditional Explorer silhouette, the EX-800C has a “Clapton Cut” lower bout on the ash body.
A highly sought-after Maxon pickup, the U-3000s are one of the highest grade humbuckers offered on any Greco of their era, featuring Alnico 8 magnets with a response akin to a PAF. The bridge pickup has strong chirp and honk, with a touch-sensitive feel and midrange growl, while the neck pickup is particularly fat and velvety. This EX-800C benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
