Up for sale, a 1975 Fender Stratocaster in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case. Boasting a gloss Dakota Red lacquer body-only refinish over the ash body, this Fender has been outfitted with a suite of modern electronics including a trio of Pure Vintage ‘65 single coils, CTS 250k pots, and a five-way pickup selector switch, retaining the original neck finish and hardware.
Weighing 9lbs 13oz, the ash body yields a certain midrange detail and note attack, paired with the glassy snap of the maple fretboard. There's plenty of natural sustain on tap, and these qualities are faithfully translated through the Pure Vintage '65 single coil pickups. Boasting gray fiber bobbins, staggered alnico magnets, and cloth-covered leads, the bridge has a focused gutsy twang, with smoother bell-like tones at the neck and a thinned-out cut at the “in-between” positions on the five-way pickup selector. This Stratocaster benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

There’s some texturing in the clear coat on the bass side of the back, a small finish chip at the bass-side edge of the neck heel, and various additional minor dings and scuffs from use. The gloss on the neck profile is smooth and clean, with palm wear through the gloss on the fretboard edges.
A tweed hardshell case is included.
