Up for sale, a 1975 Fender Quad Reverb in exceptional condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original two-button footswitch. One of the most imposing and powerful vintage tube amps ever concocted by Fender, this Quad Reverb essentially combines the circuit and chassis of a Twin Reverb with four 12" Utah-made speakers. Extremely well-kept and professionally maintained, this Quad Reverb delivers detailed and powerful clean tones that easily fill a room and keep up with any band. The amp has sweet, musical overdrive qualities as well when you really push the circuit, and with the Master Volume, the Quad Reverb can cascade into smooth breakup or be dialed back for use in more modest situations. Add Fender's tube-driven reverb and optical tremolo circuit and you have the perfect platform for a wide range of genres.
The circuit features all original Schumacher-made transformers which date to 1975, and the preamp is virtually untouched save for a couple tubular Mallory electrolytics. Visible codes on the CTS pots date to the 34th week of '75. The amp is loaded with a matched quad of Svetlana 6L6 power tubes, along with a host of vintage preamp tubes from the likes of RCA and GE. The quad of original Utah-made 12" speakers are present with remarkably clean frames and orange/silver foil Fender labels on the ceramic magnets, all featuring viable cones. These speakers have clean date codes from the 7th week of 1975 on the edges of the frames.
The amp retains its original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with orange stripe, extremely well-kept and an ideal candidate for the studio. Given the sheer size of the Quad Reverb and its stage-centric design, it's very rare to see one as preserved as this example. All of the original hardware is present including the corners, handle caps, and chassis straps. The Silverface faceplate retains all of the original witch hat knobs, and even the original set of casters is present.
The original two-button footswitch is included, along with a replacement slip cover. The cover has the "Quad Reverb" portion of the original cover stitched onto it.
