Up for sale, a 1974 Greco LJ-600 in excellent condition and in perfect working order. This early “lawsuit” era Greco is a rare, non-catalog model crafted at the Matsumoku factory in Japan, designed to capture the look, feel, and tone of Gibson’s Les Paul Special with two P-90 pickups, a wraparound tailpiece, and a slab mahogany body.
The mahogany construction results in plenty of midrange bark and sonic warmth. Plugged in, the pair of P-90 pickups are lively and dynamic, with a glassy treble cut: the bridge pickup has growl and ample midrange presence, while the neck pickup has a woody detail and smooth heft. This LJ-600 weighs 7lbs 3oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
