Up for sale, a 1974 Fender Telecaster in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. Featuring a 1950s-centric tonewood complement of an ash body and a one-piece maple neck with a U-shaped profile carve, this Tele yields a certain natural midrange detail and treble cut. The bridge pickup has a powerful, gutsy twang and sparkle, while the neck pickup is equally bold, with a silky snap and a percussive, meaty quality. This Telecaster weighs 8lbs 2oz, benefitting from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

Save for a replacement (vintage-spec) neck pickup of unknown origin, the electronics are all original, as are the plastics. Similarly, the original hardware is all present as well with the exception of 50s-style brass bridge saddles for added top end detail.

The original transparent Blonde gloss finish exhibits light, uniform yellowing of the clear coat, with notable finish loss on top. All original finish has been stabilized, with no lifting edges and no further flaking of the gloss. Beyond the areas of finish loss, the Blonde finish has very tight, faint horizontal finish checking, light buckle wear central the back, and a few minor dings on the back and perimeter. The neck profile and fingerboard retain their smooth gloss.

The original black tolex hardshell case is included. The case features original functional latches and the stock handle, with a raised tail-less Fender logo on the lid.
