Up for sale, a 1974 Fender Telecaster Deluxe in collector-grade condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtag. Stunningly well-kept and in the stead of a single owner for the last 40 years, this Telecaster is 100% original save for a single swapped potentiometer. Tonewoods include an ash body and one-piece maple neck, loaded with the original pair of Seth Lover-designed Wide Range Humbuckers.

As the architect of the original Gibson "PAF" humbucker, Seth Lover subsequently made his mark on Fender with the Wide Range pickup, a unique humbucker constructed using individually slotted and threaded pole pieces made from CuNiFe (copper-nickel-iron) magnets. The result is a pickup that has Fender's signature sparkle and cut, yet with the added warmth and fullness of a humbucker. This Telecaster is a punchy, powerful-sounding instrument with a clear, percussive quality in every pickup position and the midrange presence of ash as a tonewood. Weighing 10lbs 3oz, this Telecaster Deluxe has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Natural finish exhibits just a few tiny dings along the lower bout perimeter and a handful of faint scratches in the clear coat on the body as a whole, largely concentrated on the back. The smooth gloss finish on the neck profile is nigh flawless and highlights subtle flame figuring in the maple.

The original black tolex hardshell case is included, along with the original hangtag/user manual.
