Up for sale, a 1974 Fender Stratocaster (hardtail conversion) in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with its original hardshell case. Originally a hardtail model, the body has been cleanly routed for a traditional Fender tremolo system.

Weighing 7lbs 12oz, tonewoods include an alder body and a lightly figured maple neck. One of the last of the '70s to retain staggered alnico magnets on the gray bobbin pickup set, this Strat is clear and snappy, offering a round, authoritative midrange and bold low end. The trio of staggered pole gray bobbin single coils excel at delivering a sparkling range of tonalities: the bridge pickup offers bite and upper midrange presence, the middle pickup has a certain honk and percussive chime, and the neck single coil has a smooth, detailed tone that's ideal for solos and lead work. This Stratocaster benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
