Up for sale, a 1974 Fender Princeton Reverb in perfect working order, freshly serviced and outfitted with a vintage JBL K110 speaker. The Princeton Reverb is the perfect amplifier for small club gigs and studio sessions, and with the highly efficient JBL speaker, this amp offers considerably more headroom and bass response than a typical Princeton. This Silverface era amp delivers both well-balanced, sparkling cleans and smooth, harmonic-rich overdrive when diming it out. The Reverb is lush and the Tremolo has a nice pulse with a wide range of speeds.

The circuit retains the original output transformer and reverb transformer, manufactured for Fender by Schumacher, and dating between late 1973 and early '74. The power transformer is a vintage replacement, also manufactured by Schumacher and dating to the 2nd week of 1976. The circuit is freshly serviced and very original, with all of the stock blue molded signal caps and CTS pots with visible date codes from the 49th week of '74. The amp features a new multi-section can cap in the power supply, and smaller Sprague electrolytics in the preamp. Tubes include a matched pair of Electro Harmonix 6V6s, a 5U4 rectifier and matched Electro Harmonix valves in the preamp.

The JBL K110 alnico magnet speaker ensures this Princeton has a unique tonal profile with significant clean muscle. The K series has a cone that tempers high treble frequencies for a very smooth response in the top end that has plenty of sparkle. The tube chart is also intact inside the cabinet.

The amp retains its original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with orange stripe. The cabinet shows some wear on the edges, with a few bald corners, yet the finger-jointed enclosure is structurally sound, and both original back panels are present too. The silver faceplate has clean graphics and original witch hat knobs, and stock hardware includes the handle, chassis straps and sphinx glides (feet).
