Up for sale, a 1974 Fender Jazz Bass in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. A quintessential ‘70s example and a notably balanced and lightweight one for the era too at 8lbs 12oz, tonewoods include an ash body, maple neck, and a bound rosewood fretboard with pearloid block inlay.
Pickups include the original gray bobbin single coil at the neck and a Seymour Duncan SJB-1B Vintage for Jazz Bass at the bridge, delivering a round, articulate tone with plenty of treble grind on tap. The pickups complement each other well, and the neck pickup has a fat, woody quality with the midrange punch and detail of ash as a tonewood. This Jazz Bass has been professionally set up here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, easy-playing action, and accurate intonation.

The original Natural gloss finish has a somewhat muted appearance, with areas of wear through the clear coat, primarily on the upper horn and central to the back. There are a couple large "tan lines" from removed stickers on the back, various dings and scuffs from use, and an extra mounting hole for the "ashtray" bridge cover. The gloss finish on the neck profile is smooth and clean with a few small indentations behind the 2nd fret.
The original Fender-branded black tolex hardshell case is included.
